Lord god Krishna was playing in the forest with gopas and forest animals when just out of sight crawled the demon Aghasura. His eyes were full of hatred for he held a grudge against Krishan for the killing of his siblings. He vowed vengeance against the god and using his great powers turned into a snake as long as a river and as tall as a hill and laid in wait on the forest floor, mouth agape appearing like a cave. When the gopas came to his mouth, they mistook it for a cave and ran inside. Aghasura waited, hoping Krishna would soon follow. At last, he did and Aghasura snapped his mighty jaws shut. The gopas fainted from fear but Krishna remained calm. Trapped in Aghasura's throat, Krishna changed shape, expanding into a stone that blocked the demon's throat. Choking, Aghasura thrashed widly and eyes bulging until the air built up was too much and with an explosion, his head popped. Krishna retrieved his friends from the demon's corpse and rejoiced at the demon's demise.
